I will admit that I look at life a little differently than some people, I tend to see things that others don't, I may even know things that others don't know I know. I also admit that I like to look nice. I don't go out of my way other than to have my hair done to help me look good, which doesn't make me any better or worse than others. My philosophy in life is, what ever works for a person, they should continue doing it, as long as it is really working.
Like I say, some people will go to any length to look good on the outside. The false fingernails for example, has anyone seen what they do to the real nail bed, my God, is it really worth it. Yes they look nice, but in the end everyone knows they are not yours. Why are we spending so much money trying to be someone we are not? Is it because they give us that instant gratification of happiness and feel good feelings? How long does that last I wonder? Is it until the first one breaks? Or is it even that long?
I see this all happening in the world from the eyes and heart of a healer. I see and feel the pain people are in. I see the fear that stops people from doing what they really want in life. I hear their limiting beliefs about themselves, that block them from having what they truly want. I see the simple things they could do to realize their true potential, to know their true self. I also widely promote the services I provide....and wait for clients to show up.
Oh yes, I know I can be of service, I know I can help them by introducing them to their inner selves. Yet I wait. I get a few that come by due to some recent issues in their lives, some stay and really want to do the work, still others feel good for a while and don't return until the pain builds up in their life again. I love the work I do and the clients I have, I simply would love to do more of it. There are many like me out there, waiting with open arms and open hearts to assist you. The modalities vary from Reiki to EFT, to a countless number of therapies, many of which have been handed down for centuries, some are new due to recent research. I urge you to investigate the different modalities, and the healer, be sure you feel comfortable and confident in who you are working with. After all there is always someone willing to take your money in every industry. A true lightworker and healer has a kind heart and you will know immediately if you want to work with them.
I talk to people and watch them. I have people that write to me in real dire need and pain, or call me and really need my help, but when it comes to paying for the service, they don't show up. I may see them a day or so later with new finger nails or a hair do, or better yet a new tattoo. I have nothing against these items, it simply boggles my mind what people are doing to cover up and not deal with how they really feel inside. The choice is always ours, and again, do what works for you, but take an honest look and ask yourself if it is really working.
Society has taught us for generations to look good on the outside, not to show our warts. Our parents taught us what happens in the house stays in the house. In an abusive home the abuser is protected, in an alcoholic home the alcoholic is tip toed around. This has all become normal. What has the cost been? When will it end? When will we just wake up and deal with what it is on the inside that drives us. When we will take the time to look in the mirror and decide it's time to love us just the way we are?
Our need to look good has driven the economy in a huge ways, billions and billions of dollars are spent yearly on this industry. There are always new things being produced and marketed that will make us look good. Will this industry falter if people simply start being ok with who they are? A little perhaps, but there is a whole different industry waiting to grow in order to assist those on that inner journey, and has been growing for a number of years. Mind you I still think people will always want to look good. The simple problem is we as a society have created a monster to fulfill our need for instant gratification, our need to feel happy. Our search for happiness and fulfillment outside of ourselves has taken us on a very strange path indeed.
There can be a balance. A balance of looking good and feeling good. The feelings are an inside job, which in turn radiates on the outside. If after looking within, and finding that inner peace, you would still like to have the nails or what ever it is that makes you look good, go for it, after all the choice is yours.
