Build Your Own Fold-Out Set of Mini Solar Panels

Solar panels can be a practical way to get a little more juice, especially if you camping or away from an electrical outlet. These mini-solar-panels fold up into a pile the size of the cards, but contained 12 panels can charge a cell phone.

Makes them not in the position, your whole House or something, but at less than $1.50 for each Panel in the stack, they are still pretty impressive - and you can add more if you want to recharge something bigger (or faster).

You can find that is the build instructions on GitHub and Instructables. The plates themselves are dependent on the Sun available able, between 0 - 0.5 v at 400 - 1000mA (or 1A). The panels have even thin neodymium magnets, with which they hold each other, are designed as side-by-side. The Guide itself is pretty simple and straightforward; complete with easy to understand illustrations for each step, as long as you have a little DIY experience.

A polycarbonate sheet, some EVA Film copper required materials with conductive adhesive tape, some small neodymium magnets and the solar cells themselves. Don't worry if you have no idea where that stuff to get. There are links to all the places to get on the Bill of materials. To see the project in its entirety, see the links below.
